Hello!
My name is Jessica and I am a mother of 2 beautiful children and 1 baby who will be arriving any day!
I just wanted to take a quick moment to introduce myself and what my blog will be all about, and as you can see by the title, it will be about: Baby Shower Centerpieces!
Since I was a little girl, I've always loved to craft items. I would make angels out of beads and wire, build pot holders out of looms, sew large beautiful portraits, make multiple latch-hook carpets and pillows and crochet baby items, headbands, blankets, etc... This is just a small amount of things I would do for fun. On top of all this, I would draw, paint and graphically design paintings and animations on my computer, as well as write hundreds of poems, large chapter fiction books and set up advertising artwork as well as scripts.
I've always been fascinated with artwork, no matter what kind or media, I was a person who was up for a challenge, and now I'm ready to move on with my newest craft designs - Baby Shower Centerpieces.
One of the best feelings in the world, is throwing a party, a yard sale, a reunion, anything BIG! When you are in charge of an event, the pressure is on you to make sure it goes PERFECT, and when it does, people talk about it for years to come! When they go to other events and compare it to YOUR event and say how you had all these fabulous designs/edible treats/games, etc, you are the one people look to as an 'event expert' and it is a great feeling of accomplishment!
I've thrown my fair share of events and have learned the tricks of the trade and now I am looking to share my knowledge with you!
So this is why I've decided to set up this blog!
One of the most creative events I've ever been to, or been a part of is a baby shower! The welcoming of a new life in the world is one of the best celebrations to be a part of. Those cute little snuggle outfits and the oh-so tiny newborn diapers and baby booties, it really opens the eyes of everyone in the room to just how tiny and precious a newborn baby is.
One the most popular centerpieces of a baby shower, is a Diaper Cake.
Usually it is a 3-tier cake made out of diapers and wrapped with colored ribbon... Pink for Girls, Blue for Boys or Yellow for a Surprise! But that's not all you can do with a diaper cake! There are so many other items you can stack into a diaper cake and it can become this beautiful piece that not only is great for the party, but also for the mom-to-be!
I mean, what better craft item then one that can be used over and over again for the arriving new baby! It is a gift all by itself!
This is just one of the many centerpieces I will be going over in my future posts here! And, to top it all off, I won't just be taking pictures and showing you how to make your own - I will also have Youtube - Do it Yourself - videos showing ME making the baby shower centerpiece - step by step instructions here on how to build your own AND for those who don't have the time, I'll have the finish design available for purchase from eBay which I will have made personally for your baby shower!
So I will end my post here today, but look for my future posts this week and videos as I will begin making these items right away! But be patient with me, as I am currently 35 Weeks Pregnant myself with my second son and expecting him to arrive any day! So if you don't see a post tomorrow or the next day, I may just be in the hospital delivering my own child, but I will be back!
