Hey Everyone, I'm sorry to say that Inflation is very real and unfortunately, we can try and fight it, but it almost always wins.
I've been forced to increase the prices on my Bassinets and Cakes due to 2 main factors, The Grosgrain Ribbon and the Ruffle Trim used on the bottom of the Bassinets.
The place I was purchasing both of these unfortunately lowered the amount they're willing to sell at a time and raised the price on those lowered amounts.
The ruffled trim is one of the most important parts of the Diaper Bassinets, and not surprisingly, the most expensive part of them. I use only the best materials to give you, my customers, the best looking gifts you can give. I did search for many weeks for an alternative or for another who may have the same trim for the same price as I was getting, however I was unsuccessful. The creators have been out of business for some time, bought out by a much larger business who has chosen to raise the prices on these beautiful trims for some reason...
Grosgrain has also become much more popular and so their makers have also raised their prices. I even tried to buy larger quantities at a time in the hopes that wholesale would provide a better margin for me, unfortunately the difference is minuscule so in order to continue to build these Diaper Bassinets and Diaper Cakes, I had to increase the prices to cover the costs of making them.
Some of you may not even notice much of a difference as they are now more closer to the average seller, but just know, they are still lower than many of my competitors and these materials are not cheap knock offs from China, they are bought directly from big ribbon dealers, like Offray and JKM and local shops of coarse as well like Michaels and Joann Fabrics.
I am always on the hunt for a deal too, and when I find one you will all share in that find and will notice it when I apply discounts to different items, so always check back!
